These terms explain how Mindmap-Maker works, what users can expect, and the responsibilities that come with using the service.

Last updated: May 11, 2026

  • Mindmap-Maker is a browser-based mind mapping tool that can be used without signing up, but the service still comes with legal terms.
  • Users keep ownership of their maps and content, while Mindmap-Maker receives the limited rights needed to run, secure, and improve the product.
  • Sharing, exporting, and collaborating on maps must stay lawful, respectful, and consistent with these Terms.

01

Agreement to These Terms

These Terms apply to anyone who accesses or uses Mindmap-Maker, including the website, editor, sharing links, exports, and related pages.

By using the service, you confirm that you can legally agree to these Terms for yourself or, where applicable, for the organization you represent.

02

About the Service

Mindmap-Maker is a web-based mind mapping tool that helps people create visual plans, connect ideas, organize notes, and export work in useful formats.

The service may include features such as mind map, org chart, and list layouts, secure sharing links, version history, custom connections, sticky notes, and file exports.

03

Eligibility and Access

You must use Mindmap Maker in a way that is lawful and that does not interfere with the experience, safety, or availability of the service for others.

If a feature ever requires an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity that happens through your account.

04

User Content and Map Ownership

You retain ownership of the ideas, text, links, and other content you create or upload in your maps, subject to any rights that belong to other people or organizations.

To provide the service, you grant Mindmap-Maker a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, process, transmit, display, and reproduce your content only as needed to operate the product, enable collaboration, support exports, and maintain backups or version history.

05

Sharing, Permissions, and Collaboration

When you share a map, you are responsible for choosing the right access level, including who can view, edit, or manage the map and any optional password or expiry settings.

If you invite other people to collaborate, you are responsible for making sure they have permission to see the content you share with them.

06

Acceptable Use

You may not use Mindmap Maker to create, store, or distribute content that is illegal, abusive, deceptive, hateful, obscene, harassing, or otherwise harmful.

You may not attempt unauthorized access, probe or bypass security controls, reverse engineer the service, scrape it in a way that harms the product, or interfere with its normal operation.

07

Intellectual Property

Mindmap-Maker, its branding, design system, text, logos, and software are protected by intellectual property laws and remain the property of Mindmap-Maker or its licensors.

Except for the limited rights needed to use the service as intended, these Terms do not give you ownership of Mindmap-Maker’s code, interface, or brand assets.

08

Exports, Downloads, and Retention

Exports and downloads are provided for your convenience, but you are responsible for saving the files you need and checking that the output is suitable for your intended use.

Maps and related content may be retained for operational, backup, version history, security, abuse prevention, or legal reasons, and retention periods may change based on the feature used or the type of data involved.

010

Service Availability and Changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time to improve performance, security, compatibility, or product direction.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and maintenance or incidents may temporarily affect access or certain features.

011

Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided on an as-is and as-available basis without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not promise that every map, export, shared link, or integration will always work exactly as you expect, especially when third-party services or browsers are involved.

012

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mindmap-Maker and its team will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service.

If liability cannot be fully excluded under applicable law, our liability will be limited to the minimum amount permitted by that law.

013

Termination

You may stop using the service at any time.

We may suspend or end access to all or part of the service if needed to protect the platform, comply with legal obligations, or enforce these Terms.

014

Privacy and Cookies

Our collection and use of personal information are explained in the Privacy Policy, and our use of cookies and similar technologies is explained in the Cookie Policy.

By using the service, you also agree to the policies that apply to privacy and cookies as described in those pages.

015

Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws that apply to Mindmap Maker’s operating entity, unless a different rule is required by mandatory local law.

If a part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest of the Terms will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

016

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect product changes, legal requirements, or security needs.

When we do, we will update the revision date on this page. Continued use of the service after the updated Terms are posted means you accept the revised version.
